Ingredients
- 12.5 oz Great Northern beans rinsed and drained
- 1 cup onion red, thinly sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced thinly
- 2 sprigs thyme fresh
- 2 Tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- ½ tsp salt kosher
- ¼ cup plant milk
Instructions
How to Make Stewed White Beans
- Heat a pot of medium-high heat, and add the extra virgin olive oil. Add the thinly sliced garlic and sliced red onion. Cook the onions and garlic for 5 minutes.
- Add the beans. Stir to combine, and season with the kosher salt and the plant milk. Reduce the heat to low and simmer.
- Cooking for 15 minutes. If too much of the plant milk evaporates, add a dash more just before serving.
